This 2.3 km long stretch has been designed as a double, 1,435 mm wide high-speed track, as per the international standards established by the International Union of Railways. It passes through the municipalities of Valladolid, Santovenia de Pisuerga and Cabezón de Pisuerga, in the province of Valladolid, and forms part of the high-speed line Valladolid-Burgos-Vitoria / French border.

The project includes construction of a 52 m long viaduct over the Outer Eastern Ring Road and a 93 m long pass to enable change of levels between the Valladolid-Burgos line and the East Valladolid Railway Bypass.

The works involved construction of a platform and track, as well as the necessary preparatory interventions for the infrastructure, such as earthworks, drainage, structures, substitution of affected services and easements, construction of cross-connections to ensure traffic permeability.

This project is of great importance for the progress of integration with the high-speed railway network for the capital of Valladolid.

Execution period: 12 months.
